Luki about René

René is... hmmm. He fascinates me. Probably mainly because he is extremely versatile. He heads a department, is a committed family man, and is building up his own guitar business (almost on the side). And I am really extremely picky when it comes to homemade guitars! Nobody can fool me. But hey. Today, Lucky Wüthrich, Andrea Bignasca, and Bluedög Philipp Gerber, for example, play guitars made by René. I also have two of his guitars at home and think they're fantastic. In short, René really knows his stuff when it comes to guitars. He and I complement each other perfectly: I play, he builds. And together we invest in our business. Luckily, he's as detail-oriented as I am: we're both really picky when it comes to the quality of our work! But our Plek machine works more accurately than we ever could, and that's probably why we're so excited about it. Otherwise, we're both no longer twenty, even if René usually only notices that the morning after the party ;) ...

René about Luki

Luki is one of the most versatile and talented guitarists we have in Switzerland. Over the years, he has played on all the big stages with all the stars of the Swiss music scene. I was so nervous when I met him for the first time! At the time, I wanted to hear his opinion on my homemade electric guitars. I could never have imagined that this would lead to such a great friendship. But one thing is certain: my guitars are so good today because Luki gave me constructive criticism! Luki is also an extreme aesthete. Everything has to be just right! Building guitars with him is a perfect fit and also a lot of fun. Well, most of the time. Sometimes he makes me a little nervous when he gets really excited and wants to implement something right away, and then—three days later—the drive is gone and another topic pops up. Maybe that's why he drinks milk with just a drop of coffee in it in the morning. I don't think Luki needs any more caffeine than that.
